7 militants, 1 army person killed in 24 Hours in South Kashmir’s Shopian, Pulwama

*Srinagar* , Aug 29: Seven militants were killed in the last 24 hours in the southern region of Kashmir in two separate encounters.

According to official sources three militants and one army person were killed in a gunfight in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that a joint team of Army, Police and CRPF cordoned the Zadoora area of Pulwama district late friday evening.

As the forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, resulting in a fierce gunfight between the both sides, in which three militants were killed official added.

Pertinently, Four militants were killed and one militant was caught alive in a gunfight at Kiloora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
