Barn Swallow

By RAYEES AHMAD KUMAR

Bird having a unique nature
Multi-colour body soothing to the eyes
In vale, many myths are attached to it
Some even say, has come from the heaven
Making it’s entry in vale during April- May
Staying here till August end
In people’s homes, are their own homes
In rooms, lobbies, kitchens and washrooms
Children are fond of these lovely birds
Old aged chant odes in their names
Woman folk protect their nests
Till their next season’s arrival
Their own built nests welcome them again.
