Daredevillery at display  Carlifters enter house pick up keys and drive away a Baleno car!

Srinagar: A Baleno vehicle bearing registration No: JK01A C 7211 was lifted in a dramatic manner by unidentified person/s from the house of Haji Mohammad Maqbool Punjra on Hyderpora Bypass on the night intervening February 2nd and 3rd strangely without getting noticed by the watchmen at the house . The carlifter had intruded in the house to pick up the keys and drove away.The grey coloured car belongs to Mr Riyaz Ahmad Punjra, a leading businessman, proprietor Cemtac Cements. The family was away when the incident took place. The Police Sadder have registered a case and launched investigations.

Earlier a former employee of Punjras had lifted a Maruti-Alto 800 from the same premises and was traced within days after it had been abandoned somewhere in Bandipora.

The incident has only compounded the fears of the residents of Ibrahim Colony, in the backyard of Punjra’s house,   who witnessed two burglary incidents recently.
