Negligence of Doctors, Medical Staff at G B Panth Hospital Sonwar Srinagar costs life of a 10 year old boy.

Srinagar, May 22:- Doctors are considered as the saviours and protectors of mankind on earth after God. But when doctors and associated staff turns ill ear to their responsibilities then there remains no difference between doctors and the butchers or between hospitals and the slaughter houses. Such an example is seen and felt when a medical negligence incident came to forth about Mohammad Zaid (10 years old) of Humhama Srinagar.
Mohammad Zaid,  son of Sheikh Javaid Ahmed resident of Humhama Airport Road Srinagar left for heavenly abode on 18th May Wednesday 2022 at G. B. Panth Hospital Srinagar. He was studying in 4th standard in Kite Highland School GOGO. The parents and the relatives of Zaid are in total shock and the most disappointing matter to them is the negligence that doctors and the paramedical staff showed towards his treatment and medications etc. “The relatives are in a very sorry state to say that though we have knocked each and every corner for consideration on those days during hospitalization of Zaid but still the entire staff turns deaf and merely care of their roles and responsibilities. This is situation to us and what could be the situation to common men or to rural poor population who crossed hundred kilometers to seek medical treatment here at G. B. Panth Hospital for their wards”, Mustafa Nazir, a renowned social activist and uncle of the deceased said while expressing anguish about G. B. Panth Hospital management.
As per the reports, Mohammad Zaid  was admitted in G.B. Panth Hospital Sonwar at about 9 p.m in the evening of Monday 16th May 2022, after he started vomiting and complained of severe headache. Doctors could not diagnose the problem on time، Javaid Ahmad Sheikh father of the patient insists doctors to do CT Scan but doctors neglect the request whole night till his conditions deteriorated and he became unconscious at 8.30 a.m. Tuesday morning. After that doctors shifted him to ICU  immediately and put him on a ventilator only and near about 11:45am HOD Dr Muzaffar Jan checked the patient and advised for CT Scan, but to the unfortunate, the said CT was off from 6:00pm to 11:00 am daily  and he lost the battle of life and left for heavenly abode at about 2.00 p.m on 18th May Wednesday 2022.
