Manzoor Bhat visits Aishmuqam express solidarity with fire victims
Srinagar, June 30: A delegation of BJP Kashmir Unit on Wednesday visited fire victims at Aishmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, expressed solidarity with them and urged administration to upgrade fire tender station in the area.
Party’s Kashmir Media In-charge, Manzoor Bhat in a statement issued to media termed the fire incident as unfortunate in which six shops besides a residential house were gutted on Tuesday morning.
Bhat urged to Director Directorate General Fire & Emergency Services, Jammu and Kashmir to review the fire stations across the Kashmir in view of surge in fire incidents.
He said that fire tenders had reached the spot late due to which more shops were burned in the incident. There should be an inquiry against the employees of department who did not respond to people which caused further loss, Bhat said.
“Secondly, the existing fire brigade vehicle is not working properly and has totally become defunct should be replaced with new vehicle, so that such incidents can be averted in the future,” the youth leader said.
Apart from fire tender station, the people also complained about lack of proper medical facilities. The health centre in the area is running without a doctor, which had become concern for the people, he said.
On the occasion, Bhat assured the people of the area that their demands will be fulfilled on the fast track basis, so that people would not face any problem in future.
