Self Help group of Engineers stage protest in Pampore

Pampore, 22 August: Unemployed engineers associated with Self Help Group (SHG) on Saturday took to streets at Pampore in district Pulwama against abolishing reservation for them in government works.The Union Territory (UT) government in its recent order has merged all engineering wings with Public Works Department (PWD) besides abolished reservation in government works for SHG engineers. Demanding immediate revocation of the order, the engineers at Pampore said over 20000 families were badly affected due to this order. The delegation of self help group of engineers also met to National vice president BJP youth wing and Incharge West Bengal Er. Aijaz hussain. Delegation pressed for revocation of order No. 752 Gad-jk dt. 10.08.2020 in which it has been mentioned that the proportion of projects for SHG engineers has been abolished. Meanwhile Er Aijaz Hussain assure the delegation that he will take the matter with LG government and will take up the issue with chief secretary.
