Thugs of Hindostan box office collection Day 1: Aamir Khan film is breaking records despite critical reviews.
Thugs of Hindostan has broken several records on its opening day itself. The Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer earned Rs 52.25 crore, which is the highest collection for any Hindi film on Day 1. Thugs has also become the biggest Yash Raj opener along with getting the highest collection for any Diwali release to date.
As per trade figures, Thugs of Hindostan has slayed the box office in the north Indian circuits, namely in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the total collection of Thugs on Day 1, which stands at Rs 52.25 crore. Taran also said that the film has set new benchmarks in some circuits due to its big festive holiday release.
Taran tweeted, “#ThugsOfHindostan smashes all records [Hindi films] as it breaches ₹ 50 cr on Day 1… Sets new BENCHMARKS in some circuits… Big holiday Diwali] + tremendous hype + massive screen count help put up a SENSATIONAL TOTAL…”
In another tweet, he also revealed that the mega-budget film has collected Rs 1.50 crore in its Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions
