Upcoming singer AD Singh plans to release his maiden Kashmiri song this year

Srinagar, Sept, 11, : After becoming an internet sensation with his super-hit Punjabi songs, 33-year-old Amandeep Singh alias ‘AD Singh, a resident of Allochi Bagh Srinagar is planning to release his first Kashmiri track this year.

Singh who is presently staying in New Delhi said he has released almost 11 Punjabi songs during the past several years and now he is planning to release his first Kashmir song.
After completing his schooling from Srinagar, and Bachelors from MCRP University in Bhopal in 2008, the singer went to Pune to get his masters degree in Computer Applications there.
Singh is currently living in rental accommodation in New Delhi and is practicing Kashmir songs.
It was the year 2014 when my first song was released. “I posted it online just for friends and family. I never dreamed that it would become a sensation,” he said.
30-year-old Singh is a professional singer who has sung for Punjabi audiences all over India. His releases include titles like Kangna Cover, Aakhi Naa, Tera Noor Sajna ve Sajna, Gabru, Rickshawala Marthi, Ranjha Audio, Apna Bna len Dey and other tracks.
Singh has released 11 tracks, which got a good response from the people in Kashmir and Punjab. The shooting for these songs was held at Punjab, Chandigarh and New Delhi, the singer however, assures that he will shoot his next song in Kashmir.
“I was inclined towards music from my childhood but due to family pressure could not pursue academics in the concerned subject. Although there was good support in the family, still they used to tell me that music has no scope in the valley,” recalled the singer.
Singh says recording a Kashmiri song is his dream project which he wants to complete by the end of December this year.
“I hope that the people of Kashmir will give their love to the song,” he said.
He said that he has earlier sung Kashmiri songs during his university days for which he got appreciation from all of the faculty and family members.
Recently, Singh released his Google song in collaboration with Deeplab Music. Its music was composed by Gagandeep Singh, while its lyrics were written by Gagan Ahuja who has written Burj Khalifa song in Bollywood movie Laxmi Bomb.
About the scope of singing in Kashmir, he said with the advent of social media, everyone has a platform to display their talent.
“There is no dearth of talent among Valley youth. What they need is consistency and dedication,” the singer said.
